Permit specific organisation SSH keys

Prerequisite:
This particular feature of Katapult requires that the operating system of the virtual machine in question has the Katapult agent installed and that you have also permitted the automatic updating of SSH keys. This is installed by default on all Katapult provided operating system templates. Should you have installed your own OS then this facility will not function.

When you create a virtual machine you are asked whether you wish to assign the SSH keys for all of your organisations to the given machine, or only a select few. However, there may be times when you wish to change the list of SSH keys which can be used to access a given machine. The steps below will assist you in altering the organisation SSH keys:

  1. Select Compute -> Virtual machines from the left sidebar
  2. Select the virtual machine you wish to alter the user SSH keys for
  3. Click Configuration -> SSH Keys from the navbar beneath the hostname
  4. Should you wish to permit all organisation SSH keys check the Add all organization SSH keys? checkbox under the ORGANIZATION SSH KEYS heading; otherwise, deselect it and choose the specific organisation SSH keys from the dropdown list.
  5. Click the Save button.

The SSH keys will now be updated accordingly. Should a machine be switched off it can take up to five minutes post-boot for any SSH key changes to apply.
