Before We Begin

Hosting DNS records within Katapult will only work if you point your domains nameservers to Katapult. If you do not do this then you will need to create these DNS records at your domains authoritative nameservers instead.

Adding a DNS Record

1. Select Domains from the left sidebar
2. Click on the name of the domain you wish to add a record to
3. Click Add Record in the actions sidebar
4. Give the record a name
5. Select the TTL for the record
6. Choose the desired record type
7. Complete the record type specific details
8. Click Save

The DNS record has now been added. Please allow time for propagation.

Modify a DNS record

1. Select Domains from the left sidebar
2. Click on the name of the domain you wish to modify a record on
3. Click the name of the DNS record you wish to modify
4. Modify the DNS record values as required
5. Click the Save button.

The DNS record has now been modified. Please allow time for propagation.

Removing a DNS Record

1. Select Domains from the left sidebar
2. Click on the name of the domain you wish to remove a record from
3. Click the red cross next to the DNS record you wish to remove
4. Confirm the delete action

The DNS record has now been removed. Please allow time for propagation.

Change default TTL

1. Select Domains from the left sidebar
2. Click on the name of the domain you wish to alter the TTL for
3. Click Change default TTL from the actions sidebar
4. Provide the new default TTL and click the Change TTL button

The default TTL has now been changed. Note that it will no change the TTL for any existing records and you must update these manually if needed.
