Quickstart

Create a backup policy

  1. In the Katapult Console, navigate to Storage > Disks.
  2. Select your disk and open its Details page.
  3. Under the Disk actions section, click Disk backup policies.
  4. Click Add new disk backup policy.
  5. Enter a value for the number of backups you'd like to retain.
  6. Select a backup schedule.
  7. Click Create disk backup policy.
  8. Your backup policy is now active.

Create a backup manually

  1. In the Katapult Console, navigate to Storage > Disk backup policies.
  2. Select the backup policy you want to trigger.
  3. Click Initiate backup now under the Actions section.
  4. The backup process will begin.

Delete a backup

  1. In the Katapult Console, navigate to Storage > Disks.
  2. Select your disk and open its Details page.
  3. Under the Disk actions section, click Disk Backups.
  4. From the list, select the backup you want to delete.
  5. Click Move to Trash under the Actions section.
  6. Confirm the deletion.
  7. The backup will be moved to the trash.

Delete a backup policy

  1. In the Katapult Console, navigate to Storage > Disk backup policies.
  2. Select the backup policy you want to delete.
  3. Click Move to Trash under the Actions section.
  4. Confirm the deletion.
  5. Your backup policy will be moved to the trash.
