Quickstart

Katapult Object Storage is an S3-compatible service that allows you to securely store and serve large amounts of data with ease and scalability. It's an ideal choice for storing extensive data collections such as backups, and can also be used to host static websites.

Enable object storage

1. In the Katapult Console, hover over Storage in the main navigation on the left, then click Object storage.
2. Click Enable object storage to set up your object storage service. This will redirect you to your new bucket.

Create a bucket

1. In your object storage dashboard, go to the Actions menu on the right and select Create bucket.
2. Enter a unique name for your bucket.
3. Click Create bucket to finish, and you'll be directed to your new bucket.

Upload an object

1. From your bucket, go to the Actions menu on the right and choose Upload object.
2. Click to Choose file or drag and drop a file onto the Choose file button.
3. Click the Upload button to complete the process.

Delete an object

1. From your bucket, find your list of uploaded objects below the Details box.
2. Click the red trash icon next to object you want to delete.
3. Confirm by clicking the red Delete button.

Trash object storage

If you no longer want the object storage service, you can move it to your organization's trash.

1. In your object storage dashboard, go to the Actions menu on the right and click the red option to Move to trash.
2. Enter your organization's name, then click the red Move to trash button.
3. You will be redirected to Krystal Identity to confirm your password. Enter your password and continue.

Your object storage service will now be moved to your organization's trash, and will be automatically purged after 48 hours.
