Manage roles and permissions
Owners and users with permission can create custom roles to manage what additional users can do within an organization.
The built-in Owner role grants full control over the organization. An Owner cannot be assigned any additional roles. For all other users you can select more than one role. They receive the combined permissions of every role you select.
View existing roles

Sign in to identity.krystal.io or navigate to Access → Users and Roles in the Katapult and select Manage users and roles in Krystal Identity.

Select your organization.

Here you will be able to view and manage any custom roles you create.
Create a new role
In the Roles page in the Identity dashboard, select Add a New role.
- Enter a clear name and description — for example Developer or Read-only.
- After creating the role, tick the permissions the role should include.
- Select Save changes.
Edit or delete a role
To edit: Select the role name, adjust permissions and Save changes.
To delete: Select the role name and click on the delete button at the bottom of the screen.
Assign a role to a user
Go to organization → Users.

Select the user.

At the bottom of the screen, select Assign Roles for User
- Select the Role you wish to assign to the User and save changes.
- The Changes apply immediately.
Use a least-privilege approach: grant the minimum permissions users need to do their job.
